This course serves as a capstone experience involving a real-world project conducted in partnership with an industry sponsor. Working in teams, students collaborate with a customer to understand project objectives, system requirements, and expected deliverables. Students review existing documentation and models, develop a project schedule and work breakdown structure, and determine appropriate model scope and focus. Teams then design, document, develop, test, and apply a representative systems engineering model using industry-standard tools. Emphasis is placed on professional communication, model maturity planning, and identifying opportunities to integrate systems models with other digital engineering tools.
Prerequisites
