Introduction to the analysis and utilization of data requirements and organization into normalized tables using the normal forms of database design.

Database development using database programming techniques emphasizing database structures, modeling, and database access.

Prerequisites: ITSE-1302 or COSC-1336 or concurrent.

Program design with classes, including development, testing, implementation, and documentation.

Prerequisites: ITSE-1302 or COSC-1336.

Comprehensive coverage of low-level computer operations and architecture.

Prerequisites: ITSE-1302 or COSC-1336.

Database development using complex database programming techniques emphasizing multiple interrelated files, menu design, security implementation, and multiple access.

Prerequisites: 12 hours from any combination of COSC-1315, any ITSE, and any ITSW or Departmental Approval.

Advanced programming techniques including file access methods, data structures, modular programming, program testing and documentation.

Prerequisites: 12 hours from any combination of COSC-1315, any ITSE, and any ITSW or Departmental Approval.

A work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts. A learning plan is developed by the college and the employer.
