This course is the first in a three-course Systems Modeling sequence. It introduces the concept of a system and the fundamentals of systems modeling. Students learn the concepts and tools used to create systems engineering (SE) models that represent real-world systems. Emphasis is placed on model development and documentation, as well as the use of a team-based approach to project management and execution.
